Teleconsultations

Asia Arthritis & Rheumatology Centre’s Teleconsultations:
Providing You With Convenience,
 Comfort, and Accessibility

Your Reliable Rheumatology Telemedicine Provider in Singapore

At Asia Arthritis & Rheumatology Centre (AARC), not only can our patients attend in-person consultations, but they also have the flexibility of opting for online video consultations for specific services.

Patients with suitable conditions will be able to consult our experienced Senior Consultant Rheumatologist, Dr Annie Law, through a secure video conferencing platform, receive medical certificates (MCs), and get their prescribed medication (if any) delivered to their doorstep.

* The issuing of MCs as well as the prescription and delivery of medicine, only applies to local patients residing in Singapore.

Convenient and comfortable

Enjoy the sheer convenience of attending specialised rheumatology telemedicine
consultations from the comfort of your home or office, saving you precious time as you do not need to commute.

Accessible

We are here for you. Our friendly clinic staff will strive to make the teleconsultation process as seamless as possible. Feel free to seek help from us if you face any technical difficulties, and we will do our utmost to assist you.

Both local patients and international patients outside of Singapore can access our specialised rheumatological services. You can seek help from Beyond Medical Assistance if you are an international patient who requires medical concierge services, such as language translation.

Effective

According to the American Medical Association (AMA), teleconsultations are especially beneficial for stable patients in remission and those with low disease activity.

Conditions Suitable for Teleconsultations

Teleconsultation is not suitable in some situations, such as emergency conditions, and conditions requiring physical examination and investigative or treatment procedures in our specialist clinic.

Rest assured, our clinic staff will assess your condition and recommend either a virtual or in-person consultation depending on your unique condition.

How Our Teleconsultations Work

  1. You will undergo a telephone assessment with our Clinic Manager/Clinic Assistant to assess your suitability for teleconsultation.
  2. If your condition is deemed suitable, we will assist you with the appointment booking and the payment of the consultation fee.
  3. After your payment is confirmed, you will receive an email with a link to the virtual meeting.
  4. Turn on your video camera and consult our Rheumatologist in a quiet environment.
  5. After the consultation, if applicable, local patients can get their MC and medication conveniently delivered right to their doorstep. The delivery service only applies to local patients living in Singapore.
